DA Walsh will seek re-election

The Washington County District Attorney’s office has been represented by a Valley native for nearly a year and a half — now he’s running for election to a full term. District Attorney Jason Walsh will seek the Republican nomination to retain his seat in the May primary. Walsh was serving as first assistant to the late District Attorney Gene Vittone at the time of his death in August 2021. Walsh earned that promotion nearly a year prior, in September 2020, and has worked in the DA’s office since 2016.
