Allegheny Cleanways names McKeesport partner of the year

The City of McKeesport has been recognized by a local organization that prides itself on cleaning up litter at illegal dumping sites, along area rivers and more. “Allegheny Cleanways — they actually made the city their partner of the year,” Mayor Michael Cherepko told McKeesport City Council at Wednesday’s meeting. Cherepko added that he’s grateful for the work the organization’s DumpBusters crew has done in the city in recent years to clean up litter in blighted neighborhoods and throughout town, and doing cleanups at areas where illegal dumping is popular.
