She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and loved Christmastime. She made the holidays very memorable for all. Lori adored her two nieces, Tara and Kala, and she treated them like her own daughters and always made them feel special. She liked home decorating and DIY projects. Lori dedicated a lot of time taking care of her elderly mother and anyone who needed support. Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. DeRosa of Monongahela; her father, James D. Matheson of California; and brother-in-law, Justin J. Kuvinka of California. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Lillian Kurtz Matheson of California; sister, Sheryl Matheson and brother-in-law, Kenny Baird of California; sister, Terri Kuvinka of California; two nieces, Tara Dieteman and her husband Michael of West Newton, and Kala Kuvinka of California; her stepson, Al DeRosa and wife Amy of Monongahela; and several step-grandchildren, cousins, family members, and friends. She will be remembered as a vibrant, caring, independent woman, who was full of wisdom and selflessness. She will be loved and missed dearly as she was the backbone of her family. In lieu of flowers or gifts sent to family, Lori’s last wish is for anyone who can, donate to Washington Area Humane Society at https://washingtonpashelter.org.
