Jane Lee Core, 86, of New Eagle, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, in Haven Crest Nursing Center. She was born July 27, 1936, in Elco, the daughter of Ralph and Mary Alfreda Carson. Jane was a graduate of California High School. In her younger years, she belonged to several card clubs. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by her daughter, Jimi (John) McFall of Monongahela; son, Mick Core of Monongahela; two grandchildren, Erin (Jeremy) Carson and Jay McFall; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Rylee and Chloe Carson; sister-in-law, Linda (Roy) Barli of Dunlevy; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Ray Core, who died Sept. 3, 2022; brother, Jim Carson; and three sisters, Kassy Emmerth, Norma Wagner and Candy Nelson. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063. Services for Mrs. Core will be private. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC.
