Rostraver Township’s elected tax collector is stepping down from her role as township treasurer.
The board of commissioners will accept the resignation of Pat Lander at their first meeting of the new year, Jan. 4.
Lander, who was sworn in Jan. 3 of this year, remains the tax collector serving out a two-year term.
Lander collects solid waste bills, Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County and Belle Vernon Area School District real estates taxes.
Lander reportedly no longer wants to collect the township’s garbage bills, which is a role of the township treasurer.
