Dorothy May Maser, 97, of Carroll Township, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Donora, daughter of John and Anna Schwalbe Caskey. Dorothy loved music and spent her younger days dancing and roller skating. She taught herself how to play the guitar, which she enjoyed throughout her life. A homemaker and Protestant by faith, Dorothy enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to play Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. She is survived by her daughter, Lorrie Paul and husband Robert of Cabot; five grandchildren, Tracy Benney and husband Aaron, Cory Sutherland, Eric Paul and wife Danielle, Nicholas Bonneau, and Casey Lane and husband Nathan; four great-grandchildren, Alexander and Gabriella Benney, Emma Behanna and Callie Paul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Maser, who died Dec. 5, 1994; three daughters, Karen Maser, who died in infancy, Daryle Gardner-Bonneau and Vicki Sutherland. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will be private in the Monongahela Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
