Clarence W. Fine – Forward Township

Clarence W. Fine, 92, of Forward Township, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at Victoria House Personal Care Home. An Army veteran, he was a coal miner by trade and was extremely proud of his business. He retired as a steelworker for Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel in Monessen and was a former Masonic Lodge member. Born Feb. 12, 1930, in Forward Township, he was a son of the late John Henry and Anna Mary Cochenour Fine. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Velma Lenhart Fine; daughter, Crystal (Dan) Loer of Oregan; sons, Richard (Darlene) Fine of Elizabeth Township, Edward Fine of New Eagle and Mickey Fine of Carroll Township; nine grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Campbell of Texas; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Clarence Fine; and brothers and sisters. Friends will be received at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 North Second Ave., Elizabeth, from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022. Private burial will be held in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
