Washington County: Salaries frozen for elected officials

Washington County Commissioners voted to fix salaries for county officers during a special meeting Tuesday. Since 2002, Washington County officers have received a 3% annual salary increase. Commissioners argue that eliminating the automatic increase signals their desire for fiscal responsibility and self-accountability.
