Danny “DT” Taddeo, 66, of Black Diamond, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, in his home. He was born April 20, 1956, in New Eagle, son of John “Mike” and Elaine “Toots” Mucci Taddeo. Dan was a 1974 graduate of Monongahela High School, where he was the WPIAL Soccer Player of the Year. A dedicated and hardworking union steelworker, he was employed at U.S. Steel Irvin Works for over 25 years. Dan was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 1409 in Black Diamond and a member of the Arroas Haymakers Association in New Eagle. In the past, he enjoyed riding his Harley. Dan loved spending time with his family and friends in the backyard pavilion. He is survived by his children, Travis and Lena Taddeo, both of Monongahela; two nephews, Zach and Colton Ingram; and lifelong friend and brother, Ferp Necciai. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jan Ingram. Friends will be received from noon to 2 and 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O.
