Ringgold School Board reorganizes

By Stacy Wolford

By Max Robinette
mrobinette@yourmvi.com
The Ringgold School Board voted to retain current leadership at its annual reorganization meeting Wednesday.
The board voted 8-1 for current President Bill Stein, first Vice President Carol Flament and second Vice President Sherrie Garry to remain in their respective offices for 2023. Board member Paul Mountain was the only vote against the motion.
Mountain said he voted against retaining current leadership not for political motives, but for ideological beliefs.
“There are different ways to accomplish things,” he said. “Everyone should be given an opportunity to lead and we should be giving other people a chance. As a country, we want term limits on our leaders at the federal level and I think it should be the same on the local level.”
