Ralph Prystash – Monongahela

Ralph Prystash, 90, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022. Born in Donora on Oct. 27, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Anna Barna Prystash. Ralph was the last surviving member of his numerous siblings. He worked for many years for both U.S. Steel and Washington & Jefferson College. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Donora, the American Croatian Citizens Club and the American Legion in Donora. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ina Burgoyne Prystash; son, Rodney Ralph (Dianna) Prystash of Donora; daughter, Jacquelyn (Terry) Rugh of Carroll Township; and grandsons, Steven Rugh, Timothy Rugh and Zachary Prystash. A funeral service was held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Donora, with the Very Rev. Gregory Peterson officiating.  Interment, with full military honors, followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1 St. Nicholas Drive, Donora, PA 15033. Funeral arrangements entrusted to JAMES C.
