Joetta L. Tatar, 86, of Rostraver Township, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, in the Mon Valley Care Center, Monongahela. She was born Feb. 26, 1936, in New Eagle, daughter of Harold and Alda McFeely Craig. Joetta enjoyed her mornings in the kitchen with a good cup of coffee and anyone who happened to stop by. She was known to many as “Gram” and loved cooking, baking and thrift shopping. She was a very devoted Penguins fan and enjoyed camping at Hillegass Campground in Schellsburg. For many years Joetta was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church in New Eagle. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Tatar, with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage on Oct. 20, 2022; two sons, William Tatar and wife Connie and Ronald M. Tatar and wife Lisa, all of New Eagle; daughter, Sandra Tustin of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren, Ronald, Bryan and Ruth Ann Tatar and Shelly Cowart and Billy Tatar; and eight great-grandchildren, Billy Cowart III, Colette Cowart and Lilli, Isabella, Jakob, Elena, Marlee and Jace Tatar. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. Interment will be private in Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, 118 52nd St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201, www.goodwill.org. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
