Diane Marie Matay Fowkes – Bentleyville

Diane Marie Matay Fowkes, 70, of Bentleyville, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Aug. 28, 1952, in Monongahela, daughter of the late Michael Matay Jr. and Theresa Angelina Capozza Matay. Diane had a love for music and enjoyed singing in her band, Shades of Just Us. Later, she and her daughter Michelle enjoyed singing and playing karaoke with their DJ and karaoke company, Just Us. She also enjoyed playing late night DJ on Facebook, spending time with her devoted husband, Jimmy, her family, her two grandsons and her puppy, Bella. Diane is survived by her loving husband, James Fowkes; her daughter, Michelle Rodriguez (Tim); grandsons, Mikey and Joey Rodriguez; sister, Terie Swallop (the late Kenneth Swallop Jr.); godchild, Kalynn Swallop; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME INC., 809 Main St., Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, with Pastor Mitch Wall officiating.
