Bears sweep Shootout Classic matchups

Last season the Clairton boys’ basketball team had their struggles under new coach Rashawd Hatten, managing just one win last winter. Fast forward to this season, it’s almost a completely different Bears’ squad. Clairton had four players in double-figures and was able to withstand a late Charleroi comeback to go to 2-0 on the season after a 59-53 triumph in the first game of the second day of the Mon Valley Independent Shootout Classic at Ringgold High School Saturday afternoon.
