Nola Atkinson Pelczar – Belle Vernon

Nola Atkinson Pelczar, 90, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at TLC Personal Care Home, West Newton. Born March 5, 1932, in Roscoe, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Irene Stark Atkinson. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Pelczar was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. Nola was a retired clerk from the former Wetterau and Super Value. She was a self-employed beautician, owned and operated her own ceramic shop and later worked at Gabe’s. Nola also enjoyed and always kept busy with her seasonal crafting. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Terri Pelczar of Monongahela; daughter and son-in-law, Delma and Robert Cruz of Warner Robins, Ga.; four grandchildren, Laurie Helsel, Dan Pelczar, Luke Pelczar and Josh Cruz; and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer James Pelczar and Waylon Lukas Pelczar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Pelczar; and sister, Delma Atkinson Mood. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
