Neville Vasko, 82, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Carlus and Donna Fike VanBremen, she was born on April 13, 1940, in Belle Vernon. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Neville was a devoted member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. She was employed up until her illness by the Lettrich Group in Charleroi as a secretary since 1969. Neville was an avid bowler for many years, enjoyed traveling with friends, and most importantly loved spending time with her family. Neville was a one-of-a-kind person who was loved by everyone. Survivors include her husband, James A. Vasko, who she celebrated 59 years of marriage on July 8, 2022; her daughter and best friend, Lisa Steban of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Kristina and Tyler Steban all of Belle Vernon and Aubrey, Braedon, and Carter Simpson all of Warrenton, Va.; a brother, Gerald and sister-in-law, Eleanor VanBremen of Rostraver; a niece, Eugenia VanBremen and husband Maxwell Lawrence of Brooklyn, N.Y.; her lifelong friend, LouAnn Lori of Belle Vernon; her special little Addy; and her furry friend, Kitty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lara Simpson, in April 2021; and a son-in-law, John Steban, in October 2007. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, with 11 a.m. the time of services, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929- 5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Pastor Sam Batton will officiate. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
