Ann Kelly, 93, of New Eagle, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Gallatin, daughter of Andrew and Annie Fransko Roman. Ann was Catholic by faith. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball. Later in life, she participated in softball in the Senior Olympics and won many medals. She enjoyed vacationing with her sisters, bowling and sitting on the porch swing at her son’s home. Ann loved spending her time visiting her friends until her health did not allow her to do so. She is survived by her son, Harry (Gay) Kelly Jr. of Maben, Miss.; grandson, Harry Allen (Nicki) Kelly; two great-grandchildren, Haddie Quinn and Henry Zane Kelly; sister, Pearl Roman of New Eagle; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Corky” Kelly Sr., who died March 28, 1994; brothers, Alexander, Andrew “Ace,” John “Boots,” Peter and Homer Roman; sisters, Margaret Lyons, Helen and Mary Roman and Jean Sickman. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at noon. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
