Marjorie A. Sleasman, 87, of Elyria, Ohio, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at University Hospital Elyria with her family by her side. Born in Elizabeth, on April 29, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Grace Trainer Laverick. Marjorie was the oldest of 12 children and was devoted to her entire family. She worked at Convenient Food Mart as both a baker and in the meat department. She retired from the Lorain County Blood Bank in Elyria. She truly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.  She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Steve) Hovinetz, Ronald (Lindy) Sleasman, Daniel (Lynn) Sleasman, Terry Gwynn and Christopher Sleasman; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and siblings, Evelyn Forsythe, William (Linda) Laverick, Howard (Audrey) Laverick, Sharon (Randy) Pence and Sandy (James) Crovak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Sleasman Sr.; siblings, Larry Laverick, Peggy McIntosh, Patricia Fenton, Ronald Laverick, Harold Laverick and James Laverick; and a son-in-law, Robert Gwynn. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
