Mary Verna Nutting Prentice Farkas, 95, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022. Born on Oct. 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith Molinari Nutting. She was a charter member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved music and enjoyed crocheting. Mary is survived by her children, Sherry (Tom) Cramer of Fallowfield Township, Rickie (Judy) Prentice of Nashua, N.H., Sue Ottoviani of Butler, and Lu (Glenn) Williams of Fallowfield Township; grandchildren, Travis and Meredith Woodall, Christopher (Joanna) Prentice, Shannon (Bryan) Canney, Shelly (Jerry Vanderlee) Pelzer, Heather (Darryll) Mock and Lisa (Adam Smircich) Williams; great-grandchildren, Lilyana and Jase Prentice, Evan and Tyler Canney, Madison Vanderlee, Damien, Lucas and Xander Mock and Nathan, Alice and Daniel Smircich; several nieces and nephews; and her granddogs, Sadie, Monte and Lynyrd. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Julius Farkas; brother, George Nutting; sisters, Edith Massey and Doris Broyles; and son-in-law, Andrew Ottoviani. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with interment following at Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 420 California Drive, Coal Center, PA 15423. Online condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
