Dorothy L. Bloomer, 92, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, in her home. A daughter of the late Harold and Vina Peace Whittle, she was born in Insull, Ky., on March 13, 1930. Formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dorothy had been a resident of Rostraver since 1968. She was a member of the Charleroi Baptist Church, where she was the former pianist. Dorothy loved to complete jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Bloomer and her friend Lisa Lewandowski of Rostraver Township; a son and daughter in-law, Curtis “Buddy” and Connie Bloomer of Lancaster, Ky.; and a granddaughter, Megan Bloomer of Richmond, Ky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis E. Bloomer, on May 19, 1990; and a granddaughter, Amanda Bloomer, on June 5, 2001. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charleroi Baptist Church in Dorothy’s memory.
