Home damaged in Monessen fire

Both residents were able to escape after a home in Monessen caught fire Monday. Firefighters responded to a call around 4:30 p.m. for a fire on the 600 block of S. 14th Street. Responders included members from Monessen #1, Hilltop, North Belle Vernon, Carroll Township and Washington County fire departments, joined by emergency responders from Bentleyville.
