Bruce Lee Davis Sr., 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on Sept. 23, 1946, to the late James Davis Sr. and Florence T. Walters Davis. Bruce attended Monessen High School and worked at the Pittsburgh Steel Mill in Monessen. Bruce was a family man. He loved all sports and was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. He was also known as a pool shark, traveling from state to state throughout his life. He played against the well-known and famous Willie Mosconi. Bruce leaves to cherish his memory six beloved children, Denise L. Wade, Curtis L. Wade, Bruce L. Davis Jr., Shalon Frezzell (Eugene), Gregory J. Davis, and Nycol L. Davis; 11 grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Irene Merritt (Francis) and Sarah H. Davis; and one brother, Decon Gregory Davis Sr. and wife Carla Davis. In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by two brothers, James Davis Sr. and  Maurice Davis; two sisters, Debra Davis and Maxine Davis; and great-grandson Malachi Anthony Craig Henderson. Visitation for family and friends will be  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, with services beginning at 1 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, 670 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062. Pastor Montay Nicholson will officiate the service, and the Rev. Lee Haney of Donora will give the eulogy. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062, 724-684-4877, Trudy L. Taylor, funeral director in charge.
