Ronald Lee Taylor – Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Rostraver Township

Ronald Lee Taylor, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Rostraver Township, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022. Born on April 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Ford C. and Sarah E. Porter Taylor. Ron was born in Rostraver Township and lived there for 70 years. Ron was retired from the USX Clairton Works. He was a faithful, active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, where he had served as trustee. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Vanessa) Taylor, Ronald “Buddy” (Cindy) Taylor and Lee (Donna) Taylor; stepchildren, Deana (Ted) Sobek, Cindy (Kevin) Granato, Jodi (Gary) Evans, Jim (Donna) Klaka, Ethel (Gordon) Robison, Anita (Ed) Warrick, Mary Ellen (Tim) Piper and Bridget (Wayne) Ballew; grandchildren, Melody (Tim) Wright, Jillian (Buddy) Powers, Daniel (Caitlin) Taylor, Jennifer (Tom) Campedel, Kelsey (Matt) Zapatocky, Ryan Chapman, Shae David, Ashton Taylor/McKula, Braden Taylor, Brandon (Megan) Granato, Natalie Granato, Alexa (Michael) Fiumara and Ellie Evans; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy (Alma) Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Joye K. Taylor, who died Jan. 17, 2008; his wife of 11 years, Mary Ann Taylor, who died Dec. 2, 2020; and an infant son, Matthew Taylor. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. Family and friends are asked to meet for a funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 296 State Route PA-981, Belle Vernon, with Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
