Quick response saves EFYA fields

A courageous, all-hands-on-deck effort Monday prevented a brush fire from scorching facilities at Elizabeth Forward Youth Athletics/Mt. Vernon Fields. Police said charges are pending for two Elizabeth Township juveniles who admitted responsibility for the fire that ultimately burned 3 to 5 acres of underbrush and trees.
