Leathernecks celebrate 35th anniversary at annual ball

The Mon Valley Leathernecks, a group of U.S. Marine veterans, gathered at the Donora Municipal Building Saturday night to celebrate the 247th anniversary of the founding of the U.S.M.C. and their own organization’s 35th birthday. According to Wally Fronzaglio, chairman of the birthday ball, about 190 people attended. Many of the members were attired in full dress uniforms, while others wore Marine duty uniforms.
