Robert E. “Bob” Vercamen, 81, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on Nov. 2, 2022, at The Residence at Hilltop. Born on April 5, 1941, in North Charleroi, Bob was the son of the late Ernest and Martha Potts Vercamen. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Rose Ellen Vercamen; and sister, Mary Lou Perry. Bob worked for U.S. Steel Clairton Works for 31 years before retiring, he was a member of the North Charleroi Slavic Club, attended Journey by Grace Church and enjoyed going to the Meadows Casino. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending his time at his camp. Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Surviving to cherish Bob’s memory; his son Robert J. (wife, Suzi) Vercamen; two daughters, Rhonda (husband, Tom) Carcella and Renee (husband, Scott McCorkle) Hurley; his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Brody (wife, Bethany) Carcella, Jessi Hurley, Sydney Hurley, Katlyn Vercamen and Emilie McCorkle; and great-granddaughter, Tenley Carcella. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral services will be held inside the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
