Jason Paul Zubovic, 47, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Newell, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, in Excela Mount Pleasant Hospital. A son of Paul and Donna G. Madlenk Zubovic Jr., who survive and reside in Newell, he was born Dec. 29, 1974, in Monongahela. Jason attended Duquesne University, was a self-employed businessman and was avid in community service, raising over $3 million for various charities. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a fiancé, Marianne Riggar; a sister, Kimberly Zubovic and her partner Teresa Conn of Belle Vernon; an uncle, John (Paulette) Bazilewich of Chipawa Lake, Ohio; an aunt, Linda Madlenk Malaspina of Bethel Park and her son, Frank (Linda) Malaspina and family of Bethel Park; cousins, Mary (John) Youngblood of Atlanta and Julie Dunn and her daughter, Emily Dunn of Medina, Ohio; his dear friends and caregivers, Brandon Walker and Chad Hull, both of Mount Pleasant; and his four fur babies, especially Max. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mary Madlenk and Paul and Julia Zubovic. Friends were received Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 at Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A blessing will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 with Father James Bump officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s favorite animal rescue in memory of Jason.
