In the race for the state House’s 58th Legislative District, there are two familiar names battling it out next Tuesday. State Rep. Eric Davanzo, R-Smithton, is nearing the end of his first full term, but this is his second re-election campaign. He won a special election in March 2020 after former state Rep. Justin Walsh won his bid for judge in the Westmoreland Court of Common Pleas. Davanzo was then re-elected to a full term in November 2020. His opponent, Democrat Ken Bach, also of Smithton, ran against Davanzo in the 2020 special election as a Libertarian candidate.
