McKeesport Area School Board green lights 2 filming projects

Students at Twin Rivers Elementary School and members of the McKeesport Tigers football team are set to be featured on the big screen. The McKeesport Area School Board on Wednesday gave approval for two separate filming projects to take place within the district, pending a review of the agreements by Solicitor Gary Matta.
One of them, a documentary, will be paid for by Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation.
The other, a docuseries that will stream on a YouTube channel, will be made thanks to a company that works as a marketing arm for the WPIAL. That series will be paid for by a sponsor of Tigers athletics who received a recommendation from TJ Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers to highlight the McKeesport Tigers in the production.
