LaVerne Theresa Bonari Galvan, 99, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 8, 1923, in Monessen, daughter of the late Cosmo and Adeline Carcelli Bonari. She was a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1941. She is survived by her son, Randy Galvan; daughters, Carole (Jack) Swoger, Nancy Hnatko, Lisa Altenbaugh and Gina Galvan; grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Jon Swoger, Frank and Lori Hnatko, Ryan (Marisa) and Aaron Altenbaugh, and Gianna Gilmore and Gayle Pidich; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brandon (Alyssa), Kaylee, Karlee, Ciara, Terista, Jason, Mikayla, Mathew, Sophia, Ella, Vincent, Abraham, Henry, Lorenzo and Delanie; and great-great- grandchildren, Arianna, Lilah, Lou and Amiliano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Galvan; son, Danny Galvan; grandchildren, Jeffrey Swoger and Jill Bane; sister, Rosadele Carroll; and brothers, Lawrence and George Bonari. Private funeral services were held at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Interment followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
