Andrea Lee Zewe, 74, of Wintersville, Ohio, formerly of New Eagle, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born Jan. 29, 1949, in Pittsburgh, daughter of Andrew “Red” and Marcella Mathues Midway. Andrea was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. She was formerly employed at Corning Glass in Charleroi. Andrea enjoyed coaching New Eagle youth soccer in the 1980s and traveling with her husband, Ed, on his golf tournaments. Since 2007, she and Ed had resided in Ohio. Andrea loved playing cards, drawing and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Robyn Poole of Wintersville, Ohio; son, Scott Zewe and wife Renee of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Caleb and Kaitlynn Poole; sister, Stephanie Tirpak of Monongahela; two nieces, Leslie Koziel and Heather Brown; and two nephews, Anthony Angotti and Shawn Tirpak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Zewe, who died Nov. 15, 2008. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela, with the Rev. Joseph Uzar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
