Teresa Mendicino O’Toole – North Belle Vernon

Teresa Mendicino O’Toole, 91, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022. Born Jan. 12, 1931, in North Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Dominico and Josephine Ambrose Mendicino. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. O’Toole was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, a member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the former ladies guild of St. Sebastian Church. Teresa enjoyed cooking, baking and most of all taking care of her family. She always had something in the freezer ready to pull out for company. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Lisa O’Toole of Murrysville, Gordon and Phoebe O’Toole of Clover, S.C., and James and Janine O’Toole of York; daughter-in-law, Kathleen O’Toole of Belle Vernon; 11 grandchildren, Jeremiah O’Toole, Sean and Brittany O’Toole, Kelly and Elizabeth O’Toole, Bryen O’Toole, Emily O’Toole, Jessica and Steve Ferrari, Ryan O’Toole, Matthew O’Toole, Burke O’Toole and fiancée Hannah, Molly O’Toole and Season West; seven great-grandchildren, Callie West, Browning West, Ezra O’Toole, Saoirse O’Toole, Gabriel O’Toole, Michelle Claire O’Toole and Angel O’Toole; a great-grandchild, Bentley; and a special friend of the family, the Rev. John Foriska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. O’Toole Sr.; son, Donald O’Toole Jr.; three brothers, Michael Mendicino, Joseph Mendicino and James Mendicino; and four sisters, Ann Ross, Rose Sabatini, Adeline Nuccetelli and Norma Falbo. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston, the Rev. John Foriska and Msgr. Jim Gaston. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family would like to thank Bridges Hospice, her nurse and aid, Kara and Savannah, for all of their loving care and support. Donations in memory of Teresa can be made to Bridges Hospice.
