Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Roscoe and Lake Milton, Ohio
Daryl Edwin Sungala, 72, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Oct. 4, 2020. Daryl was born May 16, 1948. He was a former resident of Roscoe and Lake Milton, Ohio. Daryl was an avid golfer and boater. He was a 1966 graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Schwab Sungala; brother, Charles Sungala; brother and sister-in-law, David and Paula Szalay; and brother-in-law, Paul Matey. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Matey Sungala; sister-in-law, Nida Sungala; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Matey, Roger Matey, Gary and Michelle Matey, Joyce and Jim Prohaska and Jenny and Tim Boggs; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Interment with full military honors will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022. Friends and relatives to meet at the cemetery.
