Amalia ‘Maya’ Patch – Carroll Township

Amalia “Maya” Patch, 85, a lifelong resident and activist of Carroll Township, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Township. She was born May 16, 1937, in Monessen, daughter of the late Adam Visca and the late Mary Nudo Visca. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Loretta Stefansky, Ida Vukich, Emma Menzler and Elida Como. Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 66 years, Ronald A. Patch; a daughter, Renee (Eric) Cerini of Canonsburg; a son, Randy Patch of Rostraver Township; three grandchildren, Erica Honick, Adam (Holly) Cerini and Isabella Patch; two great-grandchildren, Ryker Honick and Penelope Cerini; a sister, Elisa Koval of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. “It is so hard to imagine the world without our incredible Maya — simply the best.” Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Donora Campus, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Donora.
