Sarah Jane Altfather – Berlin, Pa.

Sarah Jane Altfather, 85, of Berlin, Pa., died Oct. 5, 2022, at home. Born May 2, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Wilbert T. and Myrtle Mains Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Elmer Altfather; son, Earl Gilbert Cashdollar; stepchildren, Craig Altfather, Donna (Craig) Stewart and John (Cynthia) Altfather; and grandchildren, Zachary and Neil Stewart and Dylan and Alyssa Altfather. She was a member of Unity United Church of Christ, where a private memorial service will be held at a later date, with the Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating. Inurnment will take place in Mt.
