Kenneth “Kenny” Menia, 62, of Twilight, passed away unexpectedly in Jefferson Hospital on Oct. 4, 2022. Kenny was born on July 19, 1960, to the late August “Augie” and Doris Stark Menia. Kenny was a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1978. Following high school, Kenny served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for over 22 years. Kenny was the owner and operator of Performance Automotive of Monongahela for over 18 years. Kenny was highly active in the Charleroi American Legion Post 22. He supported all aspects of the American Legion as a member of the Post, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Firing Squad (Honor Guard). He was committed to honoring and supporting the veteran community. Kenny enjoyed attending car shows with his Bonafide Car Club and working on classic cars. What Kenny enjoyed most in life was being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Surviving to cherish Kenny’s memory are his loving wife, Johanna Menia; his son, George (Lauren) Menia; and daughter, Johanna (Chris) Holmes. Also surviving, Kenny’s sisters, Diana (Philip) Riel, Carol (Patrick) Quigley and Virginia (Thomas) Hamilton; grandchildren, Aleczander, Hailey, Tyler, Victoria and Alden; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Menia. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral service will be held inside the funeral home with Pastor Ken Custer officiating at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com.
