Margaret ‘Marge’ Latkanich – Monessen

Margaret “Marge” Latkanich, 94, of Monessen, was called by the Lord and the angels of heaven on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022. Born in Monessen on May 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Susan Kopcho Yuhasz. She retired from Keystone Bakery and was an active member of St. John’s Russian Orthodox Church and its Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Latkanich; her son, Thomas M. Latkanich Jr.; four brothers, George, Andrew, Albert and John Yuhasz; a sister, Ann Yuhasz; and a brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Melba Latkanich. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Joanne Latkanich of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, Thomas M. Latkanich III and wife Jennifer of Cape Coral, Fla., Rochelle Latkanich of Houston, Texas, and Michael Latkanich and his wife Lisa of Belle Vernon; four great-grandsons, Matthew Latkanich and wife Madeline of Virginia, Michael and Marcus Latkanich of Belle Vernon and Scott Chiocchio of Cape Coral, Fla.; two great-great-grandchildren, Mason and Makinley Latkanich of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Very Rev. Father Constantine Curchin officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery Chapel.
