Carol F. Dugan Gillon – Monongahela

Carol F. Dugan Gillon, 77, of Monongahela, passed away on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Frank and Caroline Moore Dugan, she was born in Belle Vernon on June 11, 1945. She was a housekeeper at the former Trocadero Motor Lodge in Rostraver Township for many years. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Bridget and Larry Naviliatt of Port Vue and Colleen Higbee of North Hills; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank W. and Sandy Gillon of Monongahela; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister, Lenora Zelenski of North Belle Vernon; and multiple nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner, George Namie, on Oct. 15, 2001; a daughter, Linda Bryan; a sister, Loretta Gazboda; and two brothers, Thomas and Butch Dugan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jeff Marton officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
