Elizabeth J. Allison, 68, of Belle Vernon, died peacefully in her home, holding her daughter’s hand, on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022. Born in Baltimore, Md., on Oct. 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Jacob H. and Gertrude J. (Kent) Axton. Elizabeth was a caregiver for many people in the area and worked at Continental Catering for many years. She was a member of Walk in The Word Ministries Church in Sutersville and always enjoyed playing cards with her sisters. She loved staying at home with her beloved dog, Chanel. Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends. She is survived by her daughter, Tina (John) Saye of Charleroi; step-daughter, Leighann (Mark) Crabbe of Florida; grandchildren, Cody (Samantha) Saye, Samantha (Shawn) Walt, Jessica (Kevin) Carter, Chase (Morgan) Allison, and Ashley, Megan and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Amelia, Addison and Hudson; brothers, David H. Axton of Massachusetts, Jacob (Cindy) Axton of Connecticut and George (Iris) Axton of Ohio; sisters, Kathy (Michael) Streets of Belle Vernon, Annette (George) Marsland of Belle Vernon and Carol (Mike) Foor of Belle Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Allison Jr.; and stepson, Todd Allison. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Sethman officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
