For one South Allegheny High School student, Boy Scouts have been a crucial part of development throughout life, and now he is working towards an Eagle Project that serves as a culmination of his work in the community.
Dante Saputo, a junior on the football team, has been in Scouts as long as he’s been able to, despite not originally wanting to join. With some persistence from his father, though, he enrolled and hasn’t looked back. Upon completion of his Eagle Scout project, which is rapidly approaching, people going along the Boston Trail section of the Great Allegheny Passage will be able to see the outdoor place of worship and potentially hear scripture or a sermon depending on the time. The official address of the site is 6737 Smithfield St. McKeesport, Pa., 15135.
