Betty J. Cain Boyd, 97, of Monongahela, passed away on Sept. 7, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born Aug. 29, 1925, she was the daughter of Daniel and Anna Hartman Cain. A 1943 graduate of Monongahela High School, Betty began working as a nurse aide in the recovery unit at the former Monongahela Memorial Hospital and then at Mon Valley Hospital until her retirement after 47 years at age 85. She enjoyed reading and was a member of First Christian Church in Monongahela. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Betty is survived by her twin daughters and sons-in-laws, Kathy (John) Vugrinovich of Monongahela, and Kay (Edward) Eusepi of Franklin, Tenn; two granddaughters, Danielle Vugrinovich of Pittsburgh and Tina (David) Windham of Columbia, Tenn.; a grandson, Eddie (Geri) Eusepi of Smyrna, Tenn.; and five great-grandchildren, Amber and David Windham and Emme, Ava Kate and Parker Eusepi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bill” Boyd, who died in February 1970; one brother, Neil “Buddy” Cain; and four sisters, Helen Gray, Mary Bobnar, Edith Furiga and Ruth Bonacci. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, where services will begin at noon with the Rev.
