Grant will benefit McKeesport’s Renzie Fire Station

McKeesport Council on Wednesday gave the OK for the city to accept a state grant benefiting the fire department. As a result, city firefighters will see upgrades to their living quarters at the Renzie Fire Station.
Councilwomen Jill Lape and LuEthel Nesbit and councilmen Tim Brown, Rich Dellapenna, Brian Evans and Keith Soles unanimously voted in favor of accepting the $25,500 Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Councilman Jim Barry was absent.
Council’s approval was needed for the city to accept the grant, as per requirements from DCED and the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
