Kane Foundation Fun Walk returns to in-person format

The annual “Joan Burns Kane Foundation Fun Walk 4 Kane” is returning to an in-person format this year. This year’s walk will be held at Kane McKeesport on Sept. 17. For the past couple of years, the event has been held virtually and participants were invited to walk on their own time or as part of a virtual team. Realizing that some may be weary about public gatherings due to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation said participants can also choose a virtual walk again this year and can walk anywhere they would like, for as long as they want. Registration for this year’s in-person event will be at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:30. The McKeesport facility is located at 100 Ninth St. A picnic will be held when the walking portion of the event ends.
