Trojans counting on strength in numbers

California’s football team will look to use its numbers to climb to the top of the Tri-County South Conference.
Most Class A teams usually average around 25 to 30 players, but the Trojans will enter the regular season with a roster size of 46.
“We love our numbers,” said veteran coach Ed Woods. “We take a lot of positives out of having that many kids on our team this season. As a program, we must be doing something right. The numbers have definitely provided a lot of excitement and competition in camp.
