Janice Calderone – Coal Center, formerly of Greensburg

Janice Calderone, 86, of Coal Center, formerly of Greensburg, died on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, in Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. Born in Monessen on Dec. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Calderone. Janice retired as a teacher with the Westmoreland County Intermediate Unit. Janice enjoyed traveling the world with fellow teachers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Yonko. She is survived by a sister, Grace Calderone; and a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Mary Calderone, both of Monessen; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Angel. Funeral services were private, and burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Carroll Township. Janice’s family would like her friends to gather with them for a dinner in her honor at River House Cafe, located at 506 McKean Ave., Charleroi, at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2022. ROBERT A.
