Daryl L. Morgan Moody – Fayette City

Daryl L. Morgan Moody, 85, of Fayette City, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Greensburg Care Center, Greensburg. Born July 9, 1937, in Lowber, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Gladys Hancock Morgan. A resident of Fayette City for over 50 years, Mrs. Moody was Methodist by faith and a homemaker. Daryl enjoyed spending time outside doing yard work and gardening, listening to Wudge’s Country Music, but most of all she enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and elderly family and friends. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond E. Moody Jr. and wife Liz of Fayette City, Don L. and Brenda Moody of New Stanton, and Rick and Anita Moody of Hopwood; daughter-in-law, Ricki Moody of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren, Scott Thomas and wife Victoria, Samantha Moody and fiancé Josh Zahuranic, Jessica Lauman and husband Matthew, and Nicholas Moody; and four great-grandchildren, Annabelle Thomas, Mirabella Thomas, Mia Zahuranic and Connor Zahuranic. She was preceded in death by her son, Dan Moody; daughter-in-law, Vicki Moody; four brothers, infant Homer “Buddy” Morgan, Al Morgan, Larry Morgan and Thomas Morgan; and two sisters, Lorraine Manown and Arlene Lynn. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, with Pastor Chuck Jack of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will take place in Rehoboth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daryl L. Moody can be made to Fayette City Washington Township Lions Club or the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. The family wishes to thank the staff at Greensburg Care Center and Bridges Hospice for the loving care and support given to our Mom.
