Robert A. Staley Sr. – Coal Center

Robert A. Staley Sr., 78, of Coal Center, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 28, 2022. He was born July 6, 1944, in Daisytown. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Margaret Malinsky Staley; his wife, Joanne Shook Staley; Nov. 29, 2021; son, Robert A. Staley Jr.; and three sisters, Ruth Prentice, Rose Cline and Margaret Dillard. Robert was a Pennsylvania State Constable for over 30 years and at one time worked for U.S. Steel. He was a past president of Coal Center Borough Council, member of the California Hill Gun Club and California Young Men’s Club, enjoyed his cars and visiting car shows and was a loving father and grandfather. Surviving are a son, Edward Staley (Jackie) of Charleroi; two grandchildren, Christopher Staley and Krystol Piper (James); four great-grandchildren, Zaden, Zane, Zander and Zeke; and a special niece and nephew, who gave him loving care over the last eight months of his life, Dewayne and Sherry Staley. Following Robert’s wishes his funeral services were private under the direction of the SHELL FUNERAL HOME INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown.
