Marta Wolkowicz-Brant Monongahela

Marta Wolkowicz-Brant, 72, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, in her home. She was born May 15, 1950, in Pittsburgh, daughter of Hermann and Lillian Weiss Wolkowicz. Marta was formerly employed at Kaufmann’s in the jewelry department at the Century III Mall. She also resided in Israel for a few years. Marta was very engaging on social media and loved sharing ideas with others. She enjoyed baking and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Marta is survived by numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward Brant, III who died June 14, 2001; and her brother, Howard Wolkowicz, who died May 9, 2021. Friends will be received on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rabbi Leonard Sarko officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
