Richard F. Fantauzzi – Monessen

Richard F. Fantauzzi, 66, of Monessen, passed away on Aug. 1, 2022, in Jefferson Hospital after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born May 15, 1956, in Charleroi, a son of the late Richard F. Fantauzzi and Patricia Senitta Fantauzzi, who survives. Rich attended Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen. He retired as director of finance and operations for Elizabeth Forward School District. He previously worked for Monessen City School District as business manager, H&R Block, Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau chief financial officer, as well as his family’s business, Louie’s Bakery of Charleroi. Rich had the privilege of being involved in “PASBO” — Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials, having served as president as well as in other capacities. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna McEwen Fantauzzi; sons, Michael Fantauzzi and Martin Fantauzzi and fiancée Tori Balmer. He was “Nunzi” to his granddaughter, Eleyna Fantauzzi. He is also survived by his sisters, Patsi Fantauzzi and Ramona Tokach; as well as a niece and three nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed for visitation from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022. Funeral services will be held Friday with a 9:30 a.m. blessing followed by 10 a.m. Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen, with Father Michael Crookston officiating.
