Dorothy H. Ravish, 93, of Monongahela, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022. She was born on April 7, 1929, to the late Procip and Anna Repa Orenish. Dorothy lived a very full life as the matriarch of her family. She enjoyed polka dancing, cooking and baking everything from scratch, gardening, cheering for all the Pittsburgh sports teams, playing bingo and card games and most of all, spending time with her family, whom she adored. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Stanley “Stush” Ravish; sisters, Helen Orenish, Rose Pellegrini, Anne Orenish, Mary Tritsch and Margaret “Penny” Glatz; and brothers, Joseph, Andrew and Raymond Orenish. Surviving are her children, Victoria DeMarco, Valarie (Edward) Sabolek and Stanley Ravish; grandchildren, Christina (Jeffrey) DeMarco-Breeden and Joseph Sabolek; sisters, Gloria Toth and Virginia Sliwinski; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
